All are invited!

Please join us as we begin our season-long celebration.   It begins with a parade and bonfire on Friday night, October 3rd and lasts through the season until our Homecoming Thanksgiving game versus Sterling on November 27th.

Enclosed please find information relative to the 100th anniversary celebration.   The most important part is you!   We want you to join us in what plans to be an exciting season for Collingswood football.  We plan the following:

  • A pre-game parade, bonfire and reception on Friday night, October 3rd
  • Our first home game will feature the introduction of all former players, band members, color guard and cheerleaders.   Following the game join us behind the stadium for a post game party
  • Our team will wear ‘throwback’ jerseys recognizing the greats of CHS football
  • A commemorative program
  • Anniversary hats, coins and shirts
  • The Thanksgiving breakfast followed by our traditional football game
  • Our Thanksgiving Homecoming with former Homecoming Queens being honored

Throughout the season, at our home games, we will be recognizing our former players, cheerleaders, majorettes, color guard and band members.  On Thanksgiving we will add our former Homecoming Queens.

The important thing, and we need your help with this – are you planning to attend?  Who can you contact and tell them about this exciting series of events?   Please help us contact people from your class who were involved in Collingswood football activities.   We are trying to reach everyone.   Please help!

To help finance our celebration we will be conducting a Blue Raffle and a Gold Raffle.

All proceeds from the raffle go directly to the 100th anniversary fund.

Our commemorative program will read like a media guide.   We would like to feature all of our great teams and the individuals who made Collingswood the leader in South Jersey football.    Please see the information about the program on the following pages.

Blue Raffle

We will be selling raffle tickets for $10.00 each, 3 tickets for $20.00.    Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 with this raffle.   The 1st prize is 20% of the total proceeds, 2nd prize is 10% with 3rd prize being 5% of the proceeds.    Tickets will be available at the dinner and are available in the Athletic Office and from any member of the coaching staff or by contacting a Hall of Fame committee member.

Gold Raffle

The big one!!    Our goal with this raffle is to raise $10,000.00.    1st prize is 25% of the total proceeds, 2nd is 10% and 3rd is 5% of the proceeds.   Tickets are $100.00 each or 3 for $200.00.

Please make checks payable to: Collingswood Football 100th   and send to Ed Hill in

                                                                        the high school athletic office

All proceeds will cover the cost of the 100th year anniversary.   The drawing will be held on April 18th at the Football Night at the Races to be held at the Collingswood Community Center.

Commemorative Program

We plan to do a “media guide” program to commemorate the 100th anniversary.   As part of our planning we will dedicate a section to each football player and team that has been inducted into the Collingswood Athletic Hall of Fame.

We would also like a recent picture of the player and a high school picture – sort of a ‘then and now’ feature.  If the high school picture is a problem, we can get them from our yearbooks.   Also planned is a ‘brag sheet’ on each player and team.   If you would like to advertise in our program or brag about your team (not a Hall of Fame team) you can reserve a page in the program for –

Full page =    $200.00          Half page =    100.00                   Quarter page = 50.00

Please send all program information and ads to Bob Barikian at the High School.   Make checks payable to

Collingswood Football 100th and send them to Ed Hill in the Athletic Office.

The program will be sent to the printer is August, making our deadline for all information

August 1, 2008.

Please contact us by August 15th to let us know if you plan to attend the opening weekend celebrations.
